What’s Travellers About?
TRAVELLERS was established in 1994 by Phil and Jennifer Perkes to enable people from all over the world to be able to experience the joys of living and working in foreign countries. Having travelled extensively and been lucky enough to work in various countries, Phil believed that everyone should have the opportunity to meet and live with different races and ethnic groups, and to gain experiences and memories which, like his own, would stay with them for the rest of their lives. By setting up Travellers, he has done that.
What do we do?
With over 15 years experience, Travellers has grown into one of the major providers of voluntary placements and sends volunteers FROM all over the world, TO all over the world! We offer over 200 exciting and rewarding projects in numerous fields including: Teaching, Sports Coaching, Care Work, Community Development and Conservation. We also have many fantastic hands on and professional internships in various fields.
We have hundreds of letters from volunteers all over the world saying how much they enjoyed themselves and how beneficial the experience has been, both to themselves and to their host communities.
